We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I have to call ChiKat tonight and figure out our schedule for Friday--we are intending to drive up sometime that day, probably that morning, but I don't have times yet.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Chicago was definitely our best freakin' of the locals, though.

Because you were in Evanston.

Then some crazy homeless person will wander over and strike up a conversation.

You've never needed a kilt for that to happen.

Our wings are not tired

You've never needed a kilt for that to happen.

I know this all too well.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Because you were in Evanston.

Fair point, though it had more to do with the religious convention in the hotel at the same time.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Seriously, we should see if we can schedule all F2Fs at the same time/place as religious groups. They're such fun to freak out! and so EASY!

Mostly lurking...

Oh, dear me. This brings me so much joy to know!

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Just a heads up on road conditions:

I-90/94E from Minnesota is open (one lane in a few places, but open)

I-94W from Milwaukee still closed between Delafield and Lake Mills. Road closure expected to last another week. They're talking about making one of the east bound lanes into a west bound lane, but that could be slow going as it's only 2 lanes per side. There are back roads that can be used, too, but they're kind of herky, jerky. If you're interested, I can gen up a set of instructions.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Sail, I'm not sure how doable this may be, but I-43 to Delavan. Take the U.S. 14 exit (West or North) to Janesville. At Janesville, you can either take Business 14 to I-90 West, which will put you on the east side of Madison, or you can stay on regular or bypass or whatever they call it 14, which goes into or becomes part of the Madison Beltline.

It's been a long, long, long time since I've driven on U.S. 14. But I don't remember a whole lot of red lights between Delavan and Janesville, and only one small town where the speed limit drops. On the down side, it's one lane each way.
