Daniel, there's no telling. This is the worst flooding I've seen around here, ever. The big thing is to go to that website you posted and see what the alternate routes are. They may take you more than a bit out of your way, but you still can get here from there.
Okay, I looked at the map they provide and it looks like you can veer off on US 14 at the state line (Onalaska/LaCrosse) and take that south and east without hitting any closed roads. It will bring you in to Madison on the west side. You'll pick up 12/18 (the beltline) and follow it along the south side of town. I'm not sure exactly where your hotel is, but it's there on the beltline somewhere so you just need to pay attention to the exits. There are frontage roads that run along both sides of the beltline, so if you miss your exit it's no big, just hit the next one and take the frontage road back.
I suspect my little portable nav system is going to come in handy. We're driving in from Milwaukie if my memory is right.
Let's hope that clears up this week, ND. It took me three hours to get home yesterday because I-94 was closed. Part of that was because I was traveling at rush hour, and where on 94 I was located. If you're coming in to the airport there, you can take I-43 south to Beloit and then I-90 north to Madison. It's a few miles out of the way, but you won't be turning around for road closures.
Are you going to be able to fly with an expired license?
Well, he can't drive the *plane,* is what I'm thinking....
I responded to the Somerville list, but I thought I'd pop in here too...CBD and I are going to *try* to make it to Pub Quiz when P-C is in town. I'll know better closer to the date. CBD is moving that coming weekend, and he hasn't started packing yet, silly boy.
Also, definitely need to see Kristin and ND when they are in town!

Oh, neat! And Theodosia, too! This is going to be awesome!
too much candy? or just enough?
Speaking of more traditional candy, Windsparrow and I will be donating four boxes of Whitman's samplers to the F2F in Madison.
We live near the Russell Stover Outlet store, where they are on sale. They have Dark chocolate and Milk chocolate $8.99 boxes, if you buy four, you get them for the price of one.
We might get some Sugar free Pecan delights, too.
Sail, how is the fund for the F2F coming along at this point? If you still need something, would a check be of help (I don't do pay pal)? If so, get me a name and address I can send it to - profile add is good.
Really wish I was going. Le sigh.
We've got a good surplus at this point, Frank. It should be enough to stock the hospitality suite and cover any A/V needs we may have. Thank you for offering!
