Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

too much candy? or just enough?

All is well that ends in pizza.

Speaking of more traditional candy, Windsparrow and I will be donating four boxes of Whitman's samplers to the F2F in Madison.

We live near the Russell Stover Outlet store, where they are on sale. They have Dark chocolate and Milk chocolate $8.99 boxes, if you buy four, you get them for the price of one.

We might get some Sugar free Pecan delights, too.

Sail, how is the fund for the F2F coming along at this point? If you still need something, would a check be of help (I don't do pay pal)? If so, get me a name and address I can send it to - profile add is good.

Really wish I was going. Le sigh.

We've got a good surplus at this point, Frank. It should be enough to stock the hospitality suite and cover any A/V needs we may have. Thank you for offering!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Sail - we'll be there with our minivan so if you need us to help go shopping for stuff or picking up AV equipment, let us know.

Thanks, Aims! A minivan would help a lot.

Good to hear. Have fun, everyone!

Ann, that's a ferret.

If you're coming in to the airport there, you can take I-43 south to Beloit and then I-90 north to Madison.

I wouldn't recommend going to Beloit. Or anywhere else in Rock County, for that matter. Unless you're really, really into freaking out the natives.

But I grew up in Rock County, so I may not be objective here.

Heh. It looks like the roads are clearing up pretty well, Fred. I-94 out of Milwaukee looks like it should reopen today (I still took the day off) and the weather forecast is for sun all the way up to Friday. A 30% chance of rain on Friday, but that shouldn't have much effect.

Sail, I'll only say I got out as soon as I could. The Klan held a rally in Janesville (where I lived during high school years) back in the '80s because they thought it would be a good place to get new members. I had gone away to college by then, but I read about the rally in Newsweek.

More seriously, the Tallman House -- a genuine pre-Civil War home (and thus extremely old by Midwest standards), and a rumored stop on the Underground Railroad -- is in Janesville.
