That's for the half room, right? Sail, do you know if it is sectioned off from the rest of that room? I assume we don't have more than 40 people going?
F2F 4: Too Much Candy, Never Enough Mojitos.
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: Madison, WI from June 20-22 2008! Official website.
That's what I was wondering ND. I always throw into the pot for the F2F, but I don't care about the total, usually. I leave that up to the people running the show. Oh, that's me this time. So, what is the average budget? Maybe the Great Dane wouldn't break the bank anymore than any other F2F has. And seriously, if the weather is good (and mid June should be good), the garden patio would be awesome.
Kristin, it sounds like the room gets sectioned off:
Our Private Dining room seats up to a maximum of 80 people. Half of the room would accommodate a maximum of 40 people
Very true. I just checked out the site, and it looks great! Would it be possible for you to go down to check the private rooms out to see if half vs. whole would work?
And yes, if it's only $275/hour minus catering, that's a steal for the space. I love that there's billiards right there, too. If it's the full $550, that's when fundraising is going to come in.
I remember the numbers being well north of $1000 in New Orleans.
post toasties
I just checked my records and it looks like we spent almost $3000 between the hospitality suite and the prom room in New Orleans.
Not a problem at all, Kristin. I might be able to do it first thing on Thursday. I'm taking the day off for my sister-in-law's sister's funeral, but we're not leaving until 1:00 in the afternoon. Gives me time to run down and look at it. Maybe take my camera and get some shots of it and of the garden patio for comparison.
Eta: I'm off to bed. I'll be glad to answer more questions tomorrow.
Eek! Don't impinge on a funeral for us! It will get done, honey. Thanks for wrangling it. Believe me, I remember how stressful it was.
And yeah, part of what made it stressful was how incredibly expensive NOLA was. A small number of people picked up a huge amount of those expenses at the last minute, and I just don't want that to have to happen again here. Sorry if I'm being overly cautious.
In other news, I just found the "Fucking Great" vid that Jessica did after the SF F2F. LOVE that vid!
I was thinking about NoLa when I requested a "suggested donation" upthread. I realize it's hard to estimate when we don't know where prom will be. May I ask, if we'd known how expensive NoLa would be, what would each F2F participant have had to contribute in order for everyone to have foot (footed?) an equal amount of the bill? Basically, I'm trying to make sure that I can afford to attend. And even if I can't I'll still throw a wee contribution into the paypal pot.
