I'm not big on the seafood, though I think Legal's gotten better about their land-lubber stuff. Chinese would be good, but I never know which ones in Chinatown are the good ones.

Union Square Oyster House... and Summer Shack
Both way more overpriced than Legals, IMO. Especially for what you get (unless you take into account the priceless insults from the Oyster House wait staff).

I do.
Summer Shack
Ooh - that's a good idea - I know they are mostly seafood, but they have other stuff I really like (they grill their buffalo wings instead of frying them - so. good.). And the Sox are out of town that week so it won't be such a mob scene.
Oh, wait, I'm getting the Oyster House mixed up with Durkin(sp?) Park. Still overpriced, though.

It's the chain thing that turns me off Legal's I guess. So, grain of salt and all... carry on!
Awww, thanks. I guess (twisted) love is better than no love at all.

I just looked at their website. I didn't realize how chainy they'd become. I thought they just had half-a-dozen restaurants or so. I'd be willing to give Summer Shack another chance (I still think the customer pays too much for Jasper White's name).
This is why I will always harbor a secret love for megan. Shhhh, don't tell Kristin.
She's totally worthy of secret love: pretty, stylish, erudite, great cook, speaks fancy languages, and rather kittenish when she wants to be.
She happily stopped by to spend some time with us at Cal Pac, back in December.
It meant a lot to both of us.
