I don't strictly understand how their bar seems to work. They included beverage lists for wine by the bottle and beer by the 1/2 barrel. This list includes "Beer available for Reserve", which I'm not quite sure what that means, but says also that you cannot reserve higher quantities of barrels than ordered, so we order one, we can reserve up to one more? The half barrels run from $215 to $300 and, besides your standard Miller and Bud products, includes:
Rolling Rock
Leinie's Red
Leinie's Honey Weiss (available for reserve)
Capitol Amber (reserve)
Heineken
New Glarus Spotted Cow (reserve)
Newcastle Brown Ale
Stella Artois
New Glarus and Capitol are local brews. The Spotted Cow is very popular, mild, but flavorful. The Captiol Amber is relatively robust, hoppy. I prefer Capitol Maibock, but it's a seasonal. The wine lists say that other wines are available by request, so it may be possible with the beer, too? Can't hurt to ask.
Excuse my giddiness, but I am sooooo excited. All of you that I have met should know how much I look forward to seeing you again, BUT SO MANY NEW BUFFISTAS! New Buffistas, in new places! Oh, my!
eta: not necessarily just new Buffistas, but Buffistas I have known for a long time but have never met.
Shiny!
It is shiny! And I'm excited to be able to see everyone...not to mention taking our little jaunt to House on the Rock!
Buffistas in The House on the Rock will be the best excursion EVER.
IT SO WILL! Are we thinking Saturday or Sunday? Do we need to make a reservation at some point?
Is the F2F website down or is the link in the heading wrong? I keep getting an error page.
I don't think Ginger's had a chance to get it back up, yet. I only sent her all the hotel info earlier this evening.
Ah! Sorry, I've been skimming (bad skimmer! no biscuit!) and didn't realize that it didn't already exist.
You can be forgiven for not skimming! That link is the same that was up there last year (and has never been removed), because it was Ginger's site for the Atlanta F2F. She's kindly offered to host this years site for me, since I am not very web development savvy (try, not at all.)
