June 14 is my and Jess's Dylan's birthday! That would be some way to celebrate it!

Bay Area peeps might want to know that the Pirate Festival in Vallejo will be the weekend of June 14 this year. Pirates or Buffistas is not a choice I want to have to make.

Pfft. Most of the performers at the Pirate Festival will be at various Renaissance fairs and faires, the Dickens Fair, the 3rd-Sunday-of-the-month sea shanty night at SF's Edinburgh Castle, and various other costumed events all over Northern California for the entire rest of the year. I love pirates dearly, but they're still trendy enough that it's not that difficult to get a regular pirate fix 'round these parts even if you miss the festival. A hotel full of Buffistas from around the country or possibly the world, much more rare and wondrous.

I'm glad to say, I will not have to work on this project alone. Cashmere has offered, and I've taken her up on it, to do a lot of the initial leg, or phone (as it may be), work over from me. So, once I've forwarded all the pertinent hotel info to her, she'll be doing most of the grunt work negotiating with them. I'll just be expert advice on locations and conditions of the hotels.
