Maybe later? although I know after Memorial Day peak vacation time rates kick in, which is a problem, but I know a number of people have asked if it could be scheduled later.

Our wings are not tired.

June would work better for me because the boys are out of school. In previous years I've had to deal with scheduling their finals week of school while away which isn't so easy. Last day is June 6. It is a whole lot easier for both of us to be gone when the boys are out of school.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to back out on tonight. I had a bad nosebleed this morning, then made the mistake of going to work just because it had stopped.

I've been light-headed all day, and I'm not up to driving into the city from here.

My apologies, and I hope the F2F goes well.

DC-istas alert! DH and I will be visiting our nation's capital April 9-13. We'd love to see as many of you as we can while we are there, and advice on what to do would be welcome as well. I know there are a ton of museums and things I want to get to, but which ones and where do we eat and so forth? Haven't even picked a hotel yet, so plans are way fluid.

Not sure where to put this/it's kind of fun and Bay Area peeps might be interested. The artist who did SF in jello? has an exhibit at the Headlands Center for the Arts in Marin. She says her piece "should be nice and moldly (intentionally)" by the time of the show. Fun jello shots: [link] [link] Headlands Center: [link]

Woo! We'll need a little more info to properly bend you to our will I mean, help you plan. Will you have a car? (if you plan to stay in the city, I don't recommend. Expensive to park at a hotel and a pain in the butt to park just about anywhere else.

Getting around by public transit is actually pretty good ... unless Metro is doing major construction at a central station. And, if you're lucky, the nut of the week won't be carrying gun, knife, bomb, etc., on Capitol Hill (ask Epic).

I was planning on not getting a car and using the Metro. Recs for a hotel near the Metro for not too much money would be greatly appreciated!

Actually, even this wasn't that bad, as it gave us an excuse to chat up the cute firemen. And since it apparently had nothing to do with my Jayne T-shirt. (It's a cartoon gun! Why so serious!)

unless Metro is doing major construction at a central station.

This can make the commute suck mightily. But hopefully since I took that bullet, they'll be done before you and DH get there!

I highly recommend the DCistas (even the ones who missed the party when I was there), and there's a certain Baltimore-ista well worth visiting with if schedule allows, as well.
