We should be able to make it. (crosses fingers)

F2F 4: Too Much Candy, Never Enough Mojitos.
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: Madison, WI from June 20-22 2008! Official website.
Excellent, FredPete. I just spoke to Epic again, so she's got some directions on how to get there.
Great, I sent her a text message as well.
I'm not sure I'll be able to make it (i'm not feeling great today -- just took a two-hour nap, and still feel like I need more sleep.)
For the F2F, it seems like the May dates tend to work out a lot better. IIRC, the year we tried doing it earlier, a whole lot of people had conflicts. (Just from the ones on the list, the April 19 and 26 dates are Passover, and the March 22 one is Easter weekend.)
Maybe later? although I know after Memorial Day peak vacation time rates kick in, which is a problem, but I know a number of people have asked if it could be scheduled later.
June would work better for me because the boys are out of school. In previous years I've had to deal with scheduling their finals week of school while away which isn't so easy. Last day is June 6. It is a whole lot easier for both of us to be gone when the boys are out of school.
I'm afraid I'm going to have to back out on tonight. I had a bad nosebleed this morning, then made the mistake of going to work just because it had stopped.
I've been light-headed all day, and I'm not up to driving into the city from here.
My apologies, and I hope the F2F goes well.
I'm starting to think that Fred is avoiding us . . .
DC-istas alert! DH and I will be visiting our nation's capital April 9-13. We'd love to see as many of you as we can while we are there, and advice on what to do would be welcome as well. I know there are a ton of museums and things I want to get to, but which ones and where do we eat and so forth? Haven't even picked a hotel yet, so plans are way fluid.
Not sure where to put this/it's kind of fun and Bay Area peeps might be interested. The artist who did SF in jello? has an exhibit at the Headlands Center for the Arts in Marin. She says her piece "should be nice and moldly (intentionally)" by the time of the show. Fun jello shots: [link] [link] Headlands Center: [link]
