The status is NOT quo.

Heh. I figured as much, but I couldn't resist an indignant "hey" anyway.

I haven't been following the thread, but has their been any planning for F2F 2008?
Not much. I was going to poke the thread about that again now that the holidays have passed. I'm concerned at this point that we won't be able to get decent rates.

Why do you think she was driving so fast? To get to something.
Excellent. Everyone drive away so that I can enjoy my awesome city!

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

HEY!

Hee. As I pointed out, Maryland has one too.

And apparently it's about as cool as San Diego, TX.

Epic, I'm definitely around but I'm so sick right now I can't see beyond my pillow. I will keep up here though and jump in where I can. If you end up strolling the Mall and I'm not still sick, I'd be happy to join you during the day.

Well, I hope you're feeling better soon just on general principle, but also because I'd love to meet you! Thanks so much for the tour recs, by the way. Since every tour website claims to be the neatest thing ever, personal recs will be a big help.

Epic, I was just teasing. Sorry if that didn't translate.

I, too, love the Washington Walks bonny linked to -- the guide was a great storyteller and we had fun when we did the ghost one when my niece was visiting.

Call me SoCal tenderfoot, but is a walking tour a practical idea in January?

No, I got it. That's why you got a "Hee".

Now I'm suddenly concerned that someone from San Diego, TX will be indignant with me for badmouthing them. heh.

Maybe. The weather could be anything from freezing/snow to sunshine/60 degrees to rainy/cold. One of the nice things about those tours is that you don't have to sign up or pay up in advance -- you can just show up and pay the guide at the time of the tour.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I gotta get myself back to DC for a visit! It's been about 8 years since I was last there, and I think it's my favorite city in the US (outside of Chicago, of course). All those free museums and history galore, and now, with Buffistas, too!

not your mom's socks.

Or will she make the first move, and he'll run away screaming?

Um... don't know if even Raq saw, but I'm pretty sure she SWAKed Mal when they hugged goodbye. My eyes popped out of my hed, so I have no proof of running and screaming post. Give her 12 years... by that point, she'll be a whole different sprog. Probably will wear her GCS babybat t to prom or something.
