Oh, dude. The House on the Rock?
So. There.
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: Madison, WI from June 20-22 2008! Official website.

Yeah. It's pretty much sold me on that location. I so totally want to go to House on the Rock.
God, me too. I blame Neil Gaiman.
You guys, seriously, look at the pictures, maybe visit the gift shop. Do Not Seek the Tour!
unless drowning in kitsch for 45 minutes that seems like five hours is your idea of a good time. With slow fat midwesterners blocking your way so you can't move quickly through the boring rooms.
What boring rooms? I'd be enthralled every step of the way!
What boring rooms?
I've blocked them out. And the people pushing from behind make it impossible to linger in the interesting rooms. And they don't let you walk out to the end of the room with the glass floor.

If I attend, I suppose I'll need to lose some weight first and move quicker. Good to know.
I realize now it's not that the pace is too slow, it's that the volume of the crowd makes the pace impossible for an individual to control. It feels uncomfortable to be forced to move along at the same pace as everyone else. The word cattle comes to mind.
Don't forget, it doesn't open until sometime in May, either. So, part of it depends on the dates we pick, too. I'd hate to have you pick a weekend in April and then be dissappointed when the place isn't even open (presuming Madison actually got the vote.)
