Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Well, *I* sure found it amusing.

The bartender was a friend of mine and they had coffee patron. mmmmm coffee patron. And the rest, as they say, is debauchery...

THen I curled up on said bartender for the drive to Toronto where I got to play with JOHN SWEDEN!!!!!!!!! He squired me around Toronto, showing me several of his favorte haunts (including a few local celebrities) and introducing me to one of his pals. The next day he came to my show and joinded us afterewads for dinner -- even spotted us a couple of canadian dollars because we hadn't saved enough for our cab ride back to our home bas d'oh!

(Our drive home hit a snow storm somewhere in pennsylvania so we pulled off and all sletp for a while Just got back to New York, going ino coma now.)

And when John Sweden was in KC, Erin showed HIM around! It the ciiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiircle of fffiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiistaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa A more gracious an genrous host than our dear John Sweden I simply cannot imagine. I suggest you people get your butts to the great white north and party, eh.

Our wings are not tired

I just got my flight itinerary. I'm in Toronto from Nov. 27th to Dec. 1st. I'm also scheduled to have another trip a bit later in December.

Also, it looks like I'm going to be designing a show for Cornish in Seattle so that will most likely lead to two trip to Seattle.

Our wings are not tired.

Last night was an extremely mellow and groovy way to spend Anne's last night in SF. JZ, thanks for the idea. It was so nice to eat fish 'n chips, flirt with purdy girls, get sung to, and giggle ridiculously with all youse all.

Most of you already know Anne is a wonderful houseguest, and it was a joy to have her!!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

flirt with purdy girls

There were purdy girls to flirt with (besides the attending Buffistas)? Rats.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Well, actually, it was mostly the attending Buffistas. We're very pretty!

I'm so glad everyone had fun! I don't think I'll need any more fried food until mid-2008, but that was some lovely stuff. And the company was excellent, and it was just fun to slounge about listening to dirty songs and admiring all our purdy (and I'd forgotten how pretty my pirate-song friends are -- it was fun just to look at them, too).

I can't even.

Trudy, glad to hear you got back safely. What's up with the snowy roads thing? We don't have that in Canada (yet ... in my part of it anyway). Y'all should do something about that wintery climate you have there. ::snicker:: S'funny, the cab fare thing reminded of this time years ago when I was in a carful of folks coming back from Ithaca NY, and none of us had kept enough US cash to pay the toll on the turnpike. So yeah, I sympathized.

Drew! Saw your confirmation above. Let's chat next week.

::waves to everyone::

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Seattle people - still looking for hotel names - downtown. price is not the biggest concern - more walkablity - and a bit of atmosphere.

Our wings are not tired

We stayed at a great hotel downtown in Seattle last year. I want to say it was Guacho's or something like that. Kristin do you remember the name? It was a wonderful little boutique hotel.
