Now you can luxuriate in a nice jail cell, but if your hand touches metal, I swear by my pretty flowered bonnet, I will end you.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Newark is pretty easy now with the air train. (I've walked into my apartment on the Upper West Side an hour after landing at Newark). Kennedy has an air train too.

If rush hour is a factor, a train to the airport is preferable imho.

Our wings are not tired

I really like The Muse and The Library in NYC. On my last trip I also got a good room at the Wall Street District Holiday Inn.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My in-laws stayed here the last time they visited, and liked it quite a bit.

Would any Chicago-istas be interested in doing something on the afternoon of Nov. 10th? I'm going to be in town for NAEYC, and just found out that work won't be requiring anything of me after 2pm Saturday afternoon (though I will need to go to the company meet & greet that evening).

I'm getting the pig!

Brenda, will you be back by the 12th of October? I get into Chicago on the evening of the 11th. Wanna see you!

As for Priceline, tried it for the first time yesterday and I *love* it. Very easy with Chicago, though, since the areas are so specific on the site. Chicago Marriott Downtown (Magnificent Mile) for $150 a night seemed like a long shot but we got it.

Nice! My plans are very not finalized yet, and I'm thinking I may not be able to stay longer in NY after all. But now I'm not sad about it!

Is the Oakland Marriot City Center accessible by public transportation?

Yes, it's just a couple of blocks from the 12th Street BART station (just two stops from the Embarcadero in the City).

Ok. Good to know.

So, um, how is SF in late October?
