To commemorate a past event, you kill and eat an animal. It's a ritual sacrifice, with pie.

It's called the Snuggery: [link]

Inside the station, just off the great hall where all the marble and long benches are.

Awesome. That'll be easy to find.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Saturday night: I believe vw requested pizza earlier. Does that work for everyone?? Is there a good pizza place with decent-ish parking and public trans access? Lou Malnati's in Lincolnwood?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I'm good with pizza. Mmmmm ... pizza ...

Lincolnwood works great for me. I'll be working at B&N until 6:00, but can be there directly afterwards depending on how long it takes to get to the restaurant from Arlington Heights.

How far is Lincolnwood from downtown?

It's on the northwest side, close to the Edens and Touhy, probably about ten miles from the Loop.

Mostly lurking...

Yeah, that's probably not gonna work. I think we need something in the Loop. Brenda suggested some great restaurants to me in e-mail that are mid-priced. I ate at one of them yesterday. Let me grab that info.

Here we go...

The Village. Casual Italian - this is part of a three story trio of joints called the Italian Village. First floor is pretty upscale, 2nd floor is more casual and inexpensive but still very good food. [link]

Heaven on Seven - cajun, creole. Lively atmosphere without being overwhelming. [link]

Brasserie Jo is a little more expensive probably, but a neat place with a great patio. [link]

Salvador's Barro. Good mexican, margaritas. [link]

I went to The Village yesterday, and it was fabulous. I'd be more than happy to go there again. And, we could probably make reservations there.

How many people will be coming from downtown? Because Lincolnwood would NOT be a good option for them. It's doable via public tran from the Loop, but it would require some transfers and quite a bit of time, and if they aren't familiar with our system, easily lost.

Downtown there are some pizza places, but none of them have parking, so those coming from the 'burbs would have some problems.

brenda, tommyrot, any suggestions on the north side?
