I'm not on the Somervillian list, so I don't know...but I'm sad! I hope to see you again soon, sj.
Also, Kate, sorry we're not quite up for the drive up tomorrow, but we just came in from NYC today, and ND has to train back to NYC to fly back to LA on Saturday. We're trying to keep this week as low-key as possible. I texted your phone...I think...earlier. Let's chat and see if we can find a solution.
But for any of the Somervillians (including sj and Kate) who can't do the 23rd, ND and I are doing a little informal cookout at my mom's place in CT this Thursday night. If anyone else would like to join us here, we'd love to see you! I know it's a bit of a hike for most of you, which was why I'd planned dinner on the 23rd, but if you'd like to see ND's iPhoneND, that's your chance!
Nora, plans for dinner on the 23rd sound great. My little cousin Kerry (okay, she's like...24 or something...but she's still my little cousin) may be joining us too.

Oh, fun! (adds another to the list)
You like Italian, right? I may not have been specific because it's so second nature to me, but the North End is primarily Italian fare, it's the Italian neighborhood of Boston.
Also, going off of one of Frank's recommendations upthread, I really, really like the look of Antico Forno. Looks reasonable (the most expensive dish is the veal at $22, and most everything else is well below that), has nice looking pastas and pizzas as well as meat dishes.
I am personally leaning Antico Forno-ward, but the floor is still open to suggestions or folks who don't like the look of the place. Just speak up!
t looks at Antico Forno menu again
t is now ravenously hungry
I can personally recommend both the pizza at Antico Forno and the gnocchi. It's not a huge place, but it's not a closet either, and on a Monday it shouldn't be an issue.
Perhaps we should still make a reservation? [link]
Perhaps we should still make a reservation?
Oh, of course. If all are agreed, I'll go ahead and take care of it. I was waiting to see if 1) the place was acceptable and 2) other folks will pipe up and join before doing so because I don't want to call and change the reservation 18 times before Monday evening.
I am totally pro-reservation, just maybe not quite yet. Also, time. Is 6:30 a reasonable time to make a dinner reservation for folks? Kristin, do you have any surrounding plans that we should take into account?
edit: also, I would call them, I am distrustful of online reservations.
6:30 is perfect for me & the missus.

As long as I know the time ahead of time, I should be able to make it. I will be coming from CT, though, so keep in mind rush hour.
