Friday will work for me (as of right now). Bistrot du Coin has awesome mussels and frites. If we can get the upstairs long table, it may work out. If you want, I can call tomorrow and see if they can comfortably accomodate a party of 8.
We could also do Sonoma on the Hill, or La Tasca at Gallery Place. We can even venture into VA and try the new Majestic Cafe in Old Town.
Im up for whatever. I can also pick up people from metro if we go non metro accessible (which we don't seem to need to do). I'd forgotten about sonoma.
Heh. I haven't forgotten about Sonoma. It's turned into one of my favorite places. You were the reason my restaurant choices were a big hit with the big shots from Chicago.
I'll call Bistrot du Coin and see if anything can be done, and I shall report my findings here. Then we can bullshit consense on exactly what we're going to do.
Mal's bedtime is highly flexible, but usually 9:30 ish.
And I'm in Tysons, but hopefully will be in Vienna soon. I'm working on another babysitting option right now, though...
Bistrot du Coin has space for us on Friday at 7 pm. I have reserved a table for 9 and they've noted our preference for the upstairs large table.
Does this work for everyone? I can always cancel if we want to go someplace else.
I'm in, just gotta google directions.
I'm in too.
Suzi, it's a few blocks (three, perhaps) north of the Dupont Circle Metro stop. You'll want the Q Street exit and head uphill.
I'm in, just gotta google directions.
Suzi, you might be better off metroing in (say, drive to West Falls Church, then grab the train towards New Carollton to Metro Center, switch to the Red Line towards Shady Grove and get off at Dupont Circle. Should take about 45 mins) Traffic in to the city on Fridays can be a nightmare, as is parking in Dupont. Luckily, that Nationals aren't at home, which frells the traffic immensely.
