I can - and will - make it on Friday (me? super popular? BWAH!).
I've been to Bistrot du Coin and the food is good, but it tends to be crowded on weekends.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: Madison, WI from June 20-22 2008! Official website.

I'm trying to think of places near Metro stops - if you want Dupont Circle, maybe La Tomate? City Lights? there's a new place at Connecticut and Q called Circa - no idea what it's like. Maybe back to Rosa Mexicana (ummm ... guacamole)? the Clyde's near the Verizon Center?
I'm in for Friday as well.
As long as where ever we go is Metro accessible and not too, too spendy, I'm there!
eta: Ohh, ooooh, City Lights!. Yum.
Also, pimping the 'hood Las Placitas is a great, divy, Salvadoran place with killa margaritas. Short on wine, but long on local flavor.
Ohh! Raku. Haven't been there in an age but have loved it every time I have.
There's Raku, which is Asian small plates in Dupont Circle. There's Greek at Zorba's. There's also this little Asian place that does super cheap pork buns and noodles at Gallery Place.
I liked Rosa Mexicana, but I thought that it was a little more expensive than our usual. I have no problem with that, if everyone else is cool.
Gary and I are pretty flexible with regard to food type, as long as the place is near a Metro stop. (please let us know how dressy/casual the place is so Gary will know if he needs to change out of his suit)
Am bummed we will miss flea and family, as Gary and I are going to be in New Jersey for Live Earth that weekend.
Friday is good. Any food option is fine. I will have Mal with me (still no evening/weekend babysitter option) so I guess my key concern is that the restaurant not be so expensive that other people will be pissed off to have their nice fancy date interrupted by Mal attempting to play with them.
Although with that many Buffistas in one place, he might be occupied enough to not go walkabout.
What's his bedtime, Raq? We usually do a 7PM dinner, is that too late? Also, my friend's 18 year old sister lives out your way, I think, might be a babysitting option for the future. Where are you again?
Friday will work for me (as of right now). Bistrot du Coin has awesome mussels and frites. If we can get the upstairs long table, it may work out. If you want, I can call tomorrow and see if they can comfortably accomodate a party of 8.
We could also do Sonoma on the Hill, or La Tasca at Gallery Place. We can even venture into VA and try the new Majestic Cafe in Old Town.
Im up for whatever. I can also pick up people from metro if we go non metro accessible (which we don't seem to need to do). I'd forgotten about sonoma.
