Wow. I just got back to my hotel after an evening at Daisy & Mr. Jane's bar in Dallas. The most awesome bar ever. Brendon and our friend Bob shoot pool in lots of places because they play in leagues and they both fell in love with the place. Unique to the whatever power. We need to have a F2F in Dallas just to take over the place for a night.
Spending time with Daisy and meeting Mr. Jane. I would say it was the high point of my trip to Dallas, but that wouldn't be right because Dallas hasn't been exactly impressive. The Janes do indeed rock. Without planning my hotel is only a mile from The Grapevine. This also rocks.
Daisy had to go home to sleep because of that silly thing called work in the morning. We also have that work stuff tomorrow too. Boo work!
Books, I have books! A book on condo buying, and some slashy sci fi, and some regular sci fi, and a new copy of Lost in the Grooves 'cause I gave mine away. Also plus, Hard Core Logo dvd to replace my aging video tape. Whoot! I have made a sizeable dent in my save-for-later shopping cart and felt the need to share.
Hey! Am I misremembering completely or is Sail Aweigh local to Madison? Because I would hate to miss her if this is so....
She is! Is that where Wiscon is? I'll shoot you her phone number if you want.
Yes please. I was sitting talking with Nutty and Consuela and Betsy this morning, and it dimly occurred to me that we actually DO have a Local Buffista, unless I'd gotten Madison confused with Minneapolis.
Don't cry too much, Plei! If I hadn't got laid off I wouldn't be here and have gone to the F2F, too.
If it's any consolation, you were mentioned in our breakfast discussion favorably!
Theo, I just left you a voice message! I'm home, wasting away for want of Buffista face time. ::cries:: So close and, yet, so far!
Do we have anybody in Sacramento? I've got a couple half-day layovers there on my trip next week.
