Don't cry too much, Plei! If I hadn't got laid off I wouldn't be here and have gone to the F2F, too.

If it's any consolation, you were mentioned in our breakfast discussion favorably!

Theo, I just left you a voice message! I'm home, wasting away for want of Buffista face time. ::cries:: So close and, yet, so far!

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Do we have anybody in Sacramento? I've got a couple half-day layovers there on my trip next week.

Nutty, Consuela and I had dinner with Sail last night (Turkish, in fact) and a nice time chatting in the bar afterwards! Betsy couldn't join us, alas!

It was absolutely lovely! It woke me up to the fact that there's a very cool sci-fi convention right here in town that I never even knew about and provided many fascinating topics of conversation. I dined until stuffed on spicy, spicy Buffista brains.

Mostly lurking...

Hey, Midwestistas! I will be in your fair area from July 15-30. I would love to see each of you. So, let's make some plans.

I'll be staying in the Rockford area (doing research for my senior thesis) for a chunk of the trip (till the 27th), but can make trips into the city for parts of the days. I'm flexible. But, will also be in the 'burbs from the 27th on. So, we can do something after that as well. I know it's early, but I thought we could start trying to coordinate our schedules.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Yay!!

I'm in the NW 'burbs, so you're probably closest to me (after sumi, who's right down the road from where you'll be). Maybe we can get a small get-together with the three of us (and anyone else who'd like to schlep out to DeKalb or Rockford) on one of the days you can't get into the city?

dcistas! as maria pointed out, Suzi leaves on Saturday, so we'd have to do old people dinner at 4ish (if we pick Saturday, which may affect some people's availability)

Ann, that's a ferret.

Saturday is not good for us, but since we're practically walking distance, maybe we can arrange something separate.
