Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Pictures are tough when I'm looking more 63 than 53.

you're looking 33!!

Pffft! I thought all through the F2F that Laura looked especially lovely. Knowing your killing schedule I was going to ask what your secret is for looking so well-rested.

KatieBee is looking over my shoulder and says "With that smile, Laura will be adorable when she's in her nineties. So there."

Sail and I are about to hit the road. Ginger arranged for there to be a great clatter this morning, workmen arrived to replace her dining room sliders with french doors (and they are faaabulous! really!), so we wouldn't be tempted to linger. Guests begin to smell, Katie says, after three days.

"And while they're lovely to have around," Ginger adds, "Sometimes you just want them gone so you can pick your nose and scratch."

Katie's concerned Ginger may make her sit in the driveway until time to leave for her evening flight. Yeah, right.

Sad it's over folks. Let's do it again!

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Bev has shut down her computer and I'm about to do the same. Ginger is reclaiming the space we've been occupying for herself, and possibly to give her books space to multiply. I'm sure each day that there are more books than there were the day before. All buffistas should bow down in envy to the walls of books available for perusal. In fact, I am absconding with one of them, but with the owner's permission so that is alright. It's time to get back on the road to NC and say good-bye to Atlanta, which has shown us a mah-ve-lus time and hosted so many lovely, erudite and welcoming friends to enjoy it with. F2Fes should never end, they should just move from place to place as the people go.

Our wings are not tired.

Thank you for the sweet words. Some days I feel older than others.

Ginger's books were indeed impressive. As I was sitting comfy at the dining room table DH called me excited to "come look" at something. His excitement was Ginger's bookcases. Mmmmmm books.

And her butcher block!

But the books were amazing. Ginger has an amazingly lovely house. Her backyard is also wonderful with chipmunks chasing each other and birds flying around.

Before Ginger's, I don't think I had been in a home that had so many interesting things to look at. Just lovely.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Ginger has so many nice things, she's acquired Actual Museum Cases for them!

What I admired about the walls of books was not just their number, but the fact that so many of them were ones that showcased a deep understanding of the genres -- there was a lot of good solid Taste on display.

After looking at all the pictures I have come to the conclusion that I wore the most unfortunate outfit choice in all of F2F history.

And I'm talking about the purple thing.
