And her butcher block!

But the books were amazing. Ginger has an amazingly lovely house. Her backyard is also wonderful with chipmunks chasing each other and birds flying around.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

Before Ginger's, I don't think I had been in a home that had so many interesting things to look at. Just lovely.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Ginger has so many nice things, she's acquired Actual Museum Cases for them!

What I admired about the walls of books was not just their number, but the fact that so many of them were ones that showcased a deep understanding of the genres -- there was a lot of good solid Taste on display.

After looking at all the pictures I have come to the conclusion that I wore the most unfortunate outfit choice in all of F2F history.

And I'm talking about the purple thing.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I wore the most unfortunate outfit choice in all of F2F history.

I am Spartacus!

Our wings are not tired.

All of those with the courage to wear the purple thing are braver souls than I. And let it be known that it was Kate's personal sacrifice that resulted in our being treated to Bicyclops in the garment. There was no way I was going to prance about in it, even in front of my loved ones. Who knew I was so vain and/or shy?

eta a smooch for Trudy

Librarian Warlord

I have made it home from the F2F and my subsequent business trip to Savannah.

The F2F was a lot more fun, the people were better looking and better dressed. Even taking the purple thing into account.

I haven't seen all the pictures posted so I haven't seen a picture of me in the purple. Which I want to see.

although I'd probably need a shot or 4 of fernet to handle it.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Sail and I have arrived. We had a short tour of the city, from the ridiculous (the downtown dildo building) to the sublime: a drive-by glimpse of Winston-Salem University, a more in depth tour of Old Salem and Salem College, est. 1700 something, Graylyn, former estate of the Gray family, now a conference center, Reynolda House and Village, with a quick drive by of Reynolda Gardens, a fast driving tour of the Wake Forest University campus, and an exploratory drive through the NC School of the Arts campus. DH gave Sail a tour of the birdfeeding stations in the back yard, and she's now eating his wonderful turkey loaf with sour cream and horseradish on the side, and mashed potatoes and watching AI.

It was a fun drive, if a longish one. I get to hold onto F2F until I put Sail on a plane tomorrow morning.

Miss Ginger, miss Katie, miss all my peeps, and miss Atlanta! Too short!

I'm not so sure I want to be put on a plane tomorrow, but rather put in a plane. Either way, don't wanna go! Alas, I must go find job so I can come back again. And again. And maybe again. It's pretty down here and it has Bev!
