That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Chicago leg of Scolapalooza: sushi on Thursday the 12th?

Any other suggestions? Anything you want to go do, Tom? You leave here on Sunday?

SFistas: United has a $190 RT fare to Atlanta from Oakland on right now.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Successfully postponed jury duty. I had no idea you could do that, and so easily.

Now if I could only find that cheap flight. it doesn't seem to be on United's website. Probably sold out, huh?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Wow! I'm thinking that's better than I'll get from in Boston.

Use Kayak or Sidestep. Airlines often hide the low fares on their websites. (You do have to get up at the crack of dawn.)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Successfully postponed jury duty. I had no idea you could do that, and so easily.

Right? Me either. It's amazing what you can do with technology these days.

Ah, I see it.

DH's work is gonna get in the way. Do I dare go by myself?

You know, I think I do.

Eep.

Eeee! We get the -t! Maybe we should change it to t- since the DH can't come.

The status is NOT quo.

-t, I can tell you from personal experience that it is just as much fun to go to a F2F sans spouse. My first F2F was in DC when I was still (mostly) happily married, and I was really scared to go since I'd only joined the board a few months earlier. I ended up having a blast. I mean, great if the spouse can come, but it seriously won't impact your fun if he can't.

Have I mentioned lately how utterly envious I am of everyone who can go? I'm still trying to figure out a way to finagle a trip there, but I'm not seeing it between the fact I get home from the camping trip with the 9th graders on Friday night and start teaching Shakespeare on Monday. Plus there's that whole lack of money thing. Phooey. I haven't missed a F2F since DC.
