Very boring. Much of I-16 goes through pine plantations. It's mile after mile of precisely planted pine trees. It's also below the fall line, so it's as flat as Kansas.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: Madison, WI from June 20-22 2008! Official website.
Matt that would be great! I sent you an email to your profile addy.
It hasn't arrived yet... could you resend, just in case it got lost in the internets somewhere?
Resent!
Hmmm. A friend suggested an interesting route back to Baltimore, though it sounds like it would involve a detour and take all day (like 14 hours or so with Atlanta being the starting point). Anyone ever driven the Blue Ridge Parkway the whole distance?
I've driven it, but it was years and years ago. I just remember it was pretty.

It's gorgeous. But twisty. Definitely slower than the interstate, but worth it if you've got the time.

Wonderful ride. Make sure the brakes are good.
We drive the Parkway lots. And lots and lots, because we loves it so. But never the whole way. I'd think that would be tiring, and scenic overload. Parts, though, it's well worth a run up for a few hours, if you can find a faster, flatter parallel route not too difficult to get to.
Oooo, Sparky. Savannah is gahgeous. How long will you be there, and do you know where you'll be?
Still acting as amyth's spokesmodel, I will poke her making a firm decision and hotel rm reserving. We'll be driving down Friday afternoon, most likely. Bev, I feel like you already have driving plans, but if you don't...
Or, hey, any other NCistas going and want to carpool or caravan? amych, flea, etc? I've got a hybrid with a roomy back seat...
I just realized I already have a dress to wear! Yay.
Thank you, smonster dear, but I think Sail and I are driving down on Wednesday to be of help to Ginger. For values of help yet to be determined.
