The status is NOT quo.

I believe Jon may just have said something incredibly dirty about me, but I am too busy being excited about seeing him and other LAistas to be mortally offended, the way a proper lady like myself normally would be.

Proper lady.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Is there anyone, proper or otherwise, willing to be a point person for our Tuesday gathering? I don\'t have a cellphone, and will not have constant Internet access, so it would be great if I could call just one person and have him/her pass along any last-minute changes.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Actually, the graphic could be anything, but Atlanta doesn't really have a distinctive skyline, and I hate to fall back on the omnipresent Georgia peach.

Ooh. Squishy.

Jon, I could be the point person. I'll email you my cell.

Got it Kristin! Like I said upthread, I'm up for anything, food-wise. I prefer adventurous stuff to burgers (ha!), but Italian would be cool, too.

True dat. But I'd rather go somewhere I haven't already been.

Hee. No worries. I honestly would prefer to avoid the heart attack anyway. Would you mind heading this direction after the shoot? Do you have a car, btw, or will you need a ride?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I have some unexpected free time this weekend—I'll see what I can work up f2f graphic-wise.

Anyone have an objection to me using a phoenix image that's based on the Mars lander of that name currently under development rather than the classical Egyptian bird? Seems appropriate, what with some of our own working for JPL...

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Ginger, thanks for that. What's the other prom option? I'm very concerned about the cost of doing it at the hotel.

Don't know if this is remotely possible - I was thinking about the theatre where they thought they might be able to do a OMWF thing. If I'm remembering correctly, I don't think they have any room. But I seem to recall there was a restaurant next door, in the same strip. Maybe that would be an option, to sort of combine those two?

I do think that taxis back and forth would be a reasonablish idea, in that area.
