Well, I should let you know that me & Jilli won't be able to make it this year. It's not the timing, it's not the location, we're just having to penny-pinch for the foreseeable future.

I will look forward to the oodles of posts, though.

I used Yahoo Maps to find out about the driving distance today and it told me I should be able to make the trip in 6 hours. So apparently there's a massive space warp somewhere along US 78 that cuts the distance in half.

Ann, that's a ferret.

It's supposed to be only 9-10 hours' drive from DC. We may try that.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm going to be 8 months pregnant. Y'all have fun without me though!

We drove to the Washington F2F.

Yahoo maps thinks it's 4 hours from Atlanta to Nashville, and I did manage that once -- at 70 mph all the way, with no traffic and no stops. Normally it takes at least 5 hours. I'd guess Memphis at more like 8, and that's if you're not trapped by the traffic black hole that is Chattanooga.

For the people driving, the hotel has a free parking lot with about 20 spaces, and after that there's street parking.

We'll only be a couple of blocks from Baptist Hospital (which now has a more neutral name). It's supposed to be a fine place to have a baby.

I'll be the doula!!

(Actually, if my insurance is any indication, if you deliver outside of your designated hospital at 35 weeks + they refuse to pay).
