I now have all my clothes packed except one shirt I'm steaming in the bathroom to remove wrinkles. Everything else is basically as far along as I can get it until after showering and shaving in the am. So of course, with 6 hours to go before my wake-up alarm, I'm WIDE awake and wired with anticipation for the trip.

Just got back from seeing Fay and Deb. Deb's so tired she looked like she was going to tip over. First she had to share frightening tales of those things Jillie doesn't like. Fay was running on fumes and trying to stay awake until 9. Her luggage has been misplaced - maybe somewhere in Frankfurt. I suggested that if the luggage doesn't come she would have an excuse to either go shopping or go nude and that I would support either decision.
Excited that Laura and Toddson and Vortex have already arrived.

Right on! I was just at the Orbit Room tonight myself. I had bought Alberta (who is currently mentioned in the Tom Hanks issue of Esquire as one of San Francisco's best bartenders) a vintage copy of Holiday magazine and she was making me Aviations (a cocktail) and showing me pictures of her Chicago trip.
