I still have kilts to wash and all my packing to do and I have another theatre to go to after I'm done at this one.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: Madison, WI from June 20-22 2008! Official website.
Kilts. Yum.
Wish you were here, Erin.
Just got back from seeing Fay and Deb. Deb's so tired she looked like she was going to tip over. First she had to share frightening tales of those things Jillie doesn't like. Fay was running on fumes and trying to stay awake until 9. Her luggage has been misplaced - maybe somewhere in Frankfurt. I suggested that if the luggage doesn't come she would have an excuse to either go shopping or go nude and that I would support either decision.
Excited that Laura and Toddson and Vortex have already arrived.
Oh! Hec, I meant to tell you my friend S. went to all the bars you suggested (prolly in one evening, knowing him) and was highly pleased with all of them.
Thanks!
I am cleaning and talking to dog sitters.
Tomorrow I clean and meet with dog sitters.
Friday at buttfuck AM I leave.

Right on! I was just at the Orbit Room tonight myself. I had bought Alberta (who is currently mentioned in the Tom Hanks issue of Esquire as one of San Francisco's best bartenders) a vintage copy of Holiday magazine and she was making me Aviations (a cocktail) and showing me pictures of her Chicago trip.
Quite likely. Vortex had a hair appointment in a salon on Maiden Lane at 3, so they probably fetched Fay & promptly drove downtown.
Yes. This!

Hello, America! For the record, Deb is a total star, and Vortex and Laura and Toddson and Juliana are charm on a stick, and JZ and Hec are adorable and cuddly and give good back rubs, and JZ is just glowing, bless her.

I've been up since 6am Tuesday, Cairo time, and it's now 7.30am Thursday, Cairo time. There was a little cat napping on the flight, but only a little. Also, both my suitcases are lost in transit. The airline said they should arrive this pm, and asked me where I was staying, to which I was obliged to say "...er...Deb's house. It's in San Francisco. Er. That's not specific enough, is it?" So I told them to deliver it to the hotel.
GettingMyLuggage-ma would not go amiss, as the clothes I've been wearing since Tuesday night are nice, but will not see me through 9 days.
Also, post- 9/11 you guys are REALLY not big with the welcoming unAmericans into your country. Lengthy queues culminating in fingerprints and photographs and suspicious grilling of a 'what are you doing in America' variety welcome a visitor to the New World.
I am tired. Chuffed to bits to be here, but, man, the tiredness she is hitting me hard. But - SAN FRANCISCO, BAYBEE!!!
Welcome, Fay!!!
Looking very much forward to meeting you on Friday, and meeting/reuniting with various lovely others. Sleep well, m'dear, and may you have a glorious day tomorrow.
Speaking of sleep...

You came from Egypt, babe. You might be an Ay-rab terrorist in disguise...
Know what's funny?
When you go to pack all of the things on your list that you have begun to set out, only to remember that you sold your luggage at your last yard sale and haven't replaced it. That's high-larious.
goes off to find something resembling decent luggage or else will have to resort to garbage bags. Is also muttering choice words to oneself.
