I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm in my hotel. I'm bored.

If I didn't have to go to a family birthday party for The Boy in about half an hour, I'd entertain you. (I can juggle.)

Our wings are not tired

No worries. I wasn't expecting to have this much free time today.

I'm trying to decide if I want to hike to a restaurant or just go downstairs and eat in the hotel.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Has there been any new development on getting hotel quotes for the F2F yet? Where are we on all that? It's down to either Boston or North Carolina? Or were there other options being considered?

information libertarian

I just got a response Friday from the Durham NC Marriott. They don't have a reception space for Prom for the sample weekend I quoted (May 5). They do have hotel rooms at $109. I guess the next step is to actually speak to a human and see if they can accomodate us any other weekends, and see if they'll come down on price.

Though honestly, nobody seems to be that excited about NC - if there's no interest, I don't need to actually make phone calls to strangers. So speak up if you want me to go forward.

I like the idea of NC very much, but I don't know enough about the target area to be of any help. It's a good time of year to be there as I recall.

I like the idea of NC. Or Boston.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I think, that the idea of picking a city first is the problem. I've called/emailed with several places in Boston, but rates and availability are differing greatly depending on the date. I think that we should go back to picking the date first. Then at least we can get firmer numbers.
