I got a blackberry message from my daughter that said "bring a coat mommy it's getting really cold at night here". When she calls me mommy, she knows I won't be happy about what she's telling me.

I remember "really cold" in NY, where she is. Hopefully, NO SNOW.

It is getting chilly at night, but the days are still gorgeous. I think we've only had a freeze once. It's gonna be fine.

Our flowers are still flowering, so no hard freeze yet. I'm still planning/hoping to come out on Friday.

I'm gonna try to make it over Friday as well.

It's cold, but it hasn't gotten quite "SNOW COLD!" yet. Unlike, say, Buffalo. Good sleeping weather, though (except for the nights it's been raining. bad weather - no biscuit!)

Just for the record, I never got any responses from the Atlanta convention people. I've a couple other routes to check out, plus one specific hotel that was in my 'hood when I lived there that I think might be a good option, but Atlanta's not looking too shiny right now.

I just sent a RFP directly to the Durham Marriott downtown. We'll see...
