Heh. If ya'll had the F2F in Nashville, I would cry cry cry like a country song.

If I were there, I would pimp it. It's a great town. As you all know now.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I would totally love a good reason to go to Nashville again. Did y'all go see the Parthenon while you were there? The last time I was there, the Athena wasn't finished yet.

I like Nashville.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I would be ALL OVER Nashvegas for a F2F, but I thought the lack of localistas was a drawback?

Maybe, but certainly not a deal-breaker one.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Well, if it looks like we aren't able to have an East Coast F2F, then maybe we try for Nashville this year.

I definitely prefer to keep to our established order of moving the F2F. Some folks can only attend when it's in their region, and it would seem unfair to just jump around now.

This is a great theory, but the call has been put out a few times for city pimpage and it has been VERY quiet in here. I have no clue if I can make it out to the east coast next year, but I would love to try...

Because books.

Are we just waiting for city pimpage?

True, but unless you are volunteering to be the set-up person for the East Coast this year, it doesn't look like there's going to be an East Coast F2F.

Which, don't get me wrong, I'm totally bummed about, but I'm getting the feeling that lives have gotten busy and overwhelming as that is what they are wont to do and/or there hasn't been much luck in finding things that are affordable.

Were you planning on coming out to the East Coast for the F2F?

That sounds like it could be a big problem for the east coast, especially in cities like New York and Boston. I know we got a killer deal in SF, but it seemed to be a one-off in terms of finding everything we needed in one venue.

Of course, having a pro handling things didn't hurt and I, for one, feel a little spoiled now and it would be hard to expect anything less at further F2Fs. So, maybe we're setting our expectations too high with regards as to what we expect from our point people. That can be awful intimidating to folks trying to pimp their city.

Because books.

I could list all the fabulous reasons to have it in New York, but that's about it. We never took advantage of Philly when we lived in PA, and aside from the usual tourist attractions, I don't know much about the city.

And while I would be happy to pimp either, I don't know if I could be set-up person, between the kids and the deadlines.
