Look, Angel, I know you've been out of the loop for a while, but I'm still evil. I don't do errands...unless they're evil errands.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Pete, the car is a recent model taupe-ish Chrysler Sebring. Pretty much the most generic car you can imagine.

Also, I don't have your email, so you should ping me at my profile addy.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Epic, if you're reading, it occurred to me that my DH and I can bring clothes to you for the trip to Jail -- we'll be meeting everyone at the boat and you won't have to carry it around all day.

This is also a good plan.

Started trying to pack last night in my medium suitcase. Once my box o'tiaras, a few books for deb to autograph, and my Prom stuff were in, it was 3/4 full. I'll have to re-purpose into my big suitcase tonight.

Sparky, when you see said suitcase, I promise I'm not trying to move in permanently. Honest.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Hec, did I give you my flight info? I have no brain today.

You did not, you lazy slug.

See, I swear that we e-mailed about it, but maybe it was just about the idea of picking me up, devoid of actual factual information.

Okay, e-mailing momentarily.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

just walked Tom to the convention center, walked up Grant Street and wandered up through Chinatown. Stuff's still quiet in the morning, but it was a nice walk.

What should I do today? There is some vague possible plan for meeting L and her dad for lunch, or something, but I don't know if or when that is happening. So, I am footloose and fancy free.

Report: gin martini at Zam Zam was excellent. Although we discovered that there is a reason Tom sticks to beer. JZ is beautiful and glowing and I feel terrible for keeping her out far too late. She did not fear my fists of fury, though, which is good, because I shook them at her as my fists of emphasis, and then felt inappropriately aggressive.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Pshaw! I did fine, and I was so glad to get to spend a bit of low-key non-mobby time with y'all. Under the circumstances, I'm very glad you stuck to a single martini each. They're severely potent.

Yes, happily our sense of adventure and taste for a fine classic martini did not outweigh our general suspicion for the hard stuff.

Go find the French places near downtown, like Cafe Claude. That'd be a nice lunch and close to you. The Virgin Megastore is within a couple blocks, and it has a Citizen Cupcake upstairs. It's very nice to get a nibble or coffee up there. After North Beach wakes up (11ish) you should explore there. Go to City Lights books. Go Black Oak Books around the corner on Broadway. Walk up Columbus until you get to Washington Square. Go to Mario's Bohemian Cigar store (a bar/cafe - not a cigar store) and have a Lillet. Or go to Cafe Greco and get a coffee drink and a tiramisiu. Ogle the Italian and Greek boys reading the euro futbol news.
