Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

Compassionately intolerant

...moved from Beep Me because I SO know better...

smonster...Yay Folklife! One of my favorite events of the year. And this one sounds terrific.

I'll be around that weekend and would love to meet up for a stroll of the Festival.

(Also? I have a gift certificate for a 'goth-bellydancing' lesson. I'd love to hear about your entry into the world of hip shaking. I'm nervous.)

I live on the Hill, 8 blocks from the Festival site, so am completely flexible on timing. My profile addy is good if plans come together.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

So, who's up for the next F2F on the ocean wave? Around Thailand?

Oh my. That's gorgeous.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Crashing back to reality ....

smonster, I'll be around. I usually avoid the Mall that weekend because of the masses of people, but I'd be willing to brave it with Buffistas. And sunblock ... lots and lots of sunblock.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

And sunblock ... lots and lots of sunblock.

And a hat, and tons of water... amyth and I usually spend the 4th at a local festival, but at least at the Eno there are trees and a river for wading and a mist tent.

Good to see some folks will be around! I'm not looking forward to the driving that weekend, let me tell you.

We can do a Buffista thing separate from the festival, too. Maybe something on Saturday. It's wide open right now.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

I'm prepared to help smonster and flea and others pimp NC, including our surplus of awesome NCistas. Also, a surplus of drinking establishments, live music, Tevas & Chacos (just ask sa!), and cheap & tasty eats. Y'all are almost guaranteed to see darth just by wandering through Carrboro. It's a fact! Definite lack of public transportation and Fernet, though, unfortunately.

I would love it if it were here mainly because it would almost guarantee that darth and calli and amych and flea would be able to attend. But I would be a happy, happy Buffista if the F2F were in Northampton, or in Brooklyn (NO SLEEP TILL BROOKLYN!)

EAST COAST!!!!!!!!!

I didn't mean to dis amyth, honestly!

Oh, honey, no. I feel no dis! MWAH!

Can't wait for the 4th in DC. Sunblock, Corb, DC-istas...LEGENDARY.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Definite lack of public transportation and Fernet, though, unfortunately.

Ooh, ooh, I can think of a way to fix the second one!

(And I'd also like to second what ND said about LA -- the thing about places with little or no public transportation is that the locals tend to have cars.)

NoiseDesign - Jun 13, 2006 11:33:53 am PDT #2679 of 10002
Our wings are not tired

And a few folks rented cars as well. I just figure I'll rent a midsized car if it's a place like NC and then I can help haul people as well.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Fernet isn't much of a loss.

You have Zipcars, right? Any number of 'ffistas are members.
