Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Mine does have some white spots (on his belly and throat) that you can kindof see here:

He's a sweet boy.

I've been thinking about getting a kitten, but I'm not sure how Mickey would react.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I'm still highly amused that Fay took a photo not only of the members of the Evil Bunny Alliance on their shelf, but also of the Armchair Lair full of monsters.

Also the Fridge of Reason.

I heart the kitties. The kitties are beautiful.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Oh, so you're more of a traditionalist when it comes to black cats....

That should not come as a suprise to you.

Want mine? He even has a fang....

(No, I'm not really giving him away, he's just Very Put Out with me for leaving him alllllllllll alone for 4 days - nevermind my friend N came over and spoiled him rotten each day - I still had to be reminded all through the night of how Horrible I am for abandoning him.)

Pretty Grey Oriental kitty: [link]

Dude, I can see just from the pictures that that cat is a royal pain in the ass.

Which is not to say I don't want one.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Well, they're essentially the same as a "wedge-head" Siamese, but without the Siamese coloring, so you're probably right.

Siamese and Orientals are often described as "chatty," which is a euphemism for "Won't shut the fuck up."

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Um, no. I bred sealpoints for years, and they're no chattier than most other cats, except on an individual basis.

I sometimes used to wish mine talked more, especially Tekla. I like a cat with something to say for herself.

Hmm. Maybe "chatty" mostly applies to the more modern "wedge-head" ones?

The status is NOT quo.

My cat never shuts up, and he looks like a Russian or British Blue. No accounting for breeding, I guess.

Also, the more you talk to a kitten while it's growing up, the more it will meow as an adult. A housecat that grows up away from humans won't meow at all as an adult (or so I've heard)... so apparantly at least part of a cat's chattiness comes from its owner(s)....

Yep - talk to them and they'll chatter. Tekla, my sealpoint blue ribbon queen, was a rock and roll cat; she'd belonged to a bigtime guitarist before me and she would love it when I sang, because she'd talk along with me. Mostly, though, she was mellow and not chatty.
