Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Um, no. I bred sealpoints for years, and they're no chattier than most other cats, except on an individual basis.

Hmm. Maybe "chatty" mostly applies to the more modern "wedge-head" ones?

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

My cat never shuts up, and he looks like a Russian or British Blue. No accounting for breeding, I guess.

Also, the more you talk to a kitten while it's growing up, the more it will meow as an adult. A housecat that grows up away from humans won't meow at all as an adult (or so I've heard)... so apparantly at least part of a cat's chattiness comes from its owner(s)....

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Yep - talk to them and they'll chatter. Tekla, my sealpoint blue ribbon queen, was a rock and roll cat; she'd belonged to a bigtime guitarist before me and she would love it when I sang, because she'd talk along with me. Mostly, though, she was mellow and not chatty.

Ah. That explains a lot about Dread Beast and Trinian.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

My girls were silent for quite a while except Rosie would chirp every time I'd toss a toy for her to chase. Now Rosie talks when she wants attention, but it's still rare to hear anything out of Gilda.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

They look very much like mine.

And mine! Amarna's very much a lookalike to Mickey, except she is all-black (save for one white hair on her upper chest--not a white patch, one white hair). As for chatty, well, I've mentioned her habit of meowing while drinking water before. She also mutters while walking.

As an update, I contacted the shelter that has Ghost & Goblin and someone had just beaten us to it.

I continue to look.

Me, I'm still in love with this polydactyl boy but he's too young for us. Apparently.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Oh, he's adorable!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

How would you like a slightly grumpy Maine Coon/Siamese and his brother who is a blonde and white? I can ship 'em free.

hopes Pete doesn't remember that the blonde and white kitty actually, is, a dog.
