I am full of the F2F Plague. I know the Buffistas are an astonishingly generous group of people, but sharing the plague isn't really necessary. Honest!
Also -- and this doesn't compare to lost ATM card kerfuckery -- I hopped in the shower last night around 2 a.m. (I couldn't fall asleep -- I think I do the same thing that Tommyrot does when I travel, and I just get wired and can't sleep once I get home), and when I was done, I couldn't turn the hot water off. That is, I could turn it *down,* but not all the way off. All I could do was laugh.
I watched it for a minute or two to make sure it was a small enough trickle that it wouldn't flood the bathroom, and then I went to bed, figuring that as long as it didn't cause a flood, I didn't need to call maintenance at 2:30 in the morning.
Ron The Maintenance Guy just left, having replaced something metal which apparently was broken (?), and now the hot waterfall is no more.
Now I need to unpack, make piles of laundry, acquire quarters to do the aforementioned laundry, go to the grocery store for coffee (drank the last of it this morning) and anti-plague tonics, and post my pictures.
I think I'll take the last part first.
