I'd disagree that it's laughably bad in places. Occasionally clunky, but not laughably bad. The characters are, for the most part, very well realized, the acting is good, and the dialogue is solid, if not exceptional/quotable.
I'm with Plei, Kevin. I'm really liking it so far. We've been discussing it in Boxed Set, if you want to take a look.
I'm also with tiggy in not thinking T3 was THAT bad. It wasn't particularly memorable, but it was a nice chase movie with robots and explosions.

Spiderman (don't remember which one) had that kind of stuff and it had lines like "I've always been standing in your doorway" which I'm still rolling my eyes over. I'm fine presuming T3 is not for me.
And Claire Daines.
Also true.

I also didn't think
Spidey 3
was as abominable as purported (although some particular scenes were indeed quite WTF), but it definitely wasn't as good as the first two.
You know, I actually told somebody Spidey 3 was pretty good. Then I saw this Youtube: [link] . I nearly cried. (Bonus: VIOLETS DAD!)
aurelia,
fwiw, I disliked T3 more than Spidey 3 - and I didn't like Spidey 3. P-C and Tiggy seemed to like T3, so you can take my opinion with a grain of salt, but I didn't think there was any reason for me to see that movie except that it was on AMC. Clearly I'm a crank about it. :-)
I didn't see Spidey 3 and based on that clip, I'm really not interested. I think since Spidey 2 and Fantastic Four 1 (there's some time I'll never get back) I've avoided summer blockbusters that don't involve pirates in eyeliner.
Julie Christie gave a nice shout-out to the writers at the SAGs.
I'm thinking that a teenager raised by Sarah Connor and possessing physical proof of killer robots from the future out to get him would manifest teenage foolishness via paranoid overreaction rather than staggering naiveté.

That is one of the aforementioned scenes, yes.

You didn't like
Spidey 2
?! I loved that more than the first one.
