I'll be fine. I'll be your bounty, Jubal Early. And I'll just fade away.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Craig Mazin just plugged your site. (Mostly for writers to donate scripts too, but I think implicitly also for cash donors.) [link]

Craig is awesome. He's also donating a script for the raffle.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I got an adorable email from a writer named Chap Taylor who wrote Changing Lanes (Samuel L Jackson and Ben Affleck) convinced that no one would want a signed copy but offering it anyway.

I was all, "DUDE. Film script? Samuel L Jackson? SEND!"

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Does the MPTV fund have a telephone donation system? Their website has, like, no security.

I just spoke to them about that. They keep assuring me it's secure, but...cn we send a Buffista to them? I get the feeling the net savvy is just not there.

You can donate by phone: (818) 876-1900.

OK, first of all, his name is Chap, which is fantastic enough. Then add the rest, and, yeah.

You all are awesome for thinking of this and setting it up and just... very inspiring.

I'll revise "no security" as that was totally tabloid of me, but it hasn't got, like, SSL - which has been best practice (and everywhere) for about a decade now, which sets alarm bells. They've used an off the shelf PHP cart system, too.

All banks have fraud protection anyway I think, so it's not the end of the world.

Also, this effort is incredibly worth while as it will actually help people caught in the crossfire, which is great, rather than just the WGA.

I don't get not buying DVDs, since the writers and other guilds get residuals from them.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Yeah, I've never quite got the logic behind it. I suppose it's 'the studios get a majority share of the revenue so will suffer most'.
