[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Did you guys watch the clip with the guy from Everyone Hates Chris and Todd Bridges? Hilarious.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Somebody did raise a point about it turning into more of a clusterfuck if showrunners started matching the pencils thing with their own money

Yeah, at least one of those people seemed to think the idea was to ask the showrunners to match funds for MORE PENCILS. Um... not so much.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Jane bought some pencils. Maybe she read Whedonesque wrong too.

Unless she spent thousands of dollars buying pencils that isn't really relevant to what I said.

You know what's funny (to me)? I'm not even looking at any of the pencil stuff, because I'm good with Allyson and Monique's opinions on it, so I don't even need to know. That's really lazy of me, but I'm so sure of their expertise in this area that I'm just going to be grateful for the saved time.

It's like free experts on tap here at the b.org sometimes. (And then sometimes, in cases that are not this one, it's like free experts on tap with completely different opinions who are also on crack but entirely sure they are right. Yeah, you know who I am you are.)

I was kidding. There's two blogs I can see which mention the pencil thing so far, with BlogCritic being negative: [link]

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Ask a Striking Writer.

He actually heard about the TV blogs going dark! How cool!

Huh, I hadn't really thought about the effect on sites like TWoP until now.

You know the thing with How I Met Your Mother and the actors being suspended without pay, but tied to their contracts, and SAG being up in arms? Universal are apparently doing the same thing. Well, they are, as Deadline Hollywood has one of the letters to actors online.

The funny thing, though, is this:

Regarding BSG, NBC Uni's SciFi channel is being told that, since the terms of Article 61 appear to be breached, the actors can terminate their deals and attempt to find work elsewhere.

So if the BSG actors want to find work elsewhere during the strike -- admittedly, I'm not sure there's that much work going around, but still -- they have to leave the show. That's gonna please people.
