when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

Press emails = awwww.

Pencils = eyerolly.

Allyson = teh Awesome.

(Yeah, I got nothin'.) (Oh, wait, there's this:)

Okay, the knitting talk was a while ago, but: I can't crochet at home (instead, I do it at school during group meetings and seminars!) because of my cat. It'd be okay if she'd just play with the yarn, but she insists upon playing the the hook. And it's difficult to crochet with a cat hanging off of your hook.

Also? Apparently the people who make (and/or sell) baby yarn are against the color purple. Seriously, wtf?

Art Crawl!!!

I think I'd be in trouble if I had a kitten or young cat, but my cats are more mature (shall we say) and just not as crazy as the young ones.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

How writers spent their digital download residuals.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Did you guys watch the clip with the guy from Everyone Hates Chris and Todd Bridges? Hilarious.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Somebody did raise a point about it turning into more of a clusterfuck if showrunners started matching the pencils thing with their own money

Yeah, at least one of those people seemed to think the idea was to ask the showrunners to match funds for MORE PENCILS. Um... not so much.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Jane bought some pencils. Maybe she read Whedonesque wrong too.

Unless she spent thousands of dollars buying pencils that isn't really relevant to what I said.

You know what's funny (to me)? I'm not even looking at any of the pencil stuff, because I'm good with Allyson and Monique's opinions on it, so I don't even need to know. That's really lazy of me, but I'm so sure of their expertise in this area that I'm just going to be grateful for the saved time.

It's like free experts on tap here at the b.org sometimes. (And then sometimes, in cases that are not this one, it's like free experts on tap with completely different opinions who are also on crack but entirely sure they are right. Yeah, you know who I am you are.)

I was kidding. There's two blogs I can see which mention the pencil thing so far, with BlogCritic being negative: [link]
