yes, the notes in press are giving me many warm fuzzies.

Can someone explain to me why people are weirded out by the idea of asking Joss to donate money as part of Allyson's plan to salvage the missteps already taken with this campaign, when Joss is asking them to open their wallets, again, six weeks before Christmas?

For I am confused.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Well, in fairness the people who appeared weirded out by the idea were very much in the minority. Somebody did raise a point about it turning into more of a clusterfuck if showrunners started matching the pencils thing with their own money, as it would appear as though they're effectively funding the fan campaign, which would remove it's point.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

But you know that makes absolutely no sense at all, that there's no logic in it, right?

Yeah, I'm missing the logic as well, sorry.

They're effectively running the campaign. Why not pony up some cash to offset any negative impressions brought about by that?

There's a bit of logic in it. The idea is to engage the viewers into doing something by asking them, and whilst there's certainly a question as to who's running the campaign, I think if JW and friends start matching donations it could become a whole bigger issue.

Personally, I support Allyson's idea purely for the idea of the gesture going beyond pencils. I don't care how it's reported with regards to the show runners.

The e-mails in Press warm the cockles of my usually cold-cockled heart.

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

Press emails = awwww.

Pencils = eyerolly.

Allyson = teh Awesome.

(Yeah, I got nothin'.) (Oh, wait, there's this:)

Okay, the knitting talk was a while ago, but: I can't crochet at home (instead, I do it at school during group meetings and seminars!) because of my cat. It'd be okay if she'd just play with the yarn, but she insists upon playing the the hook. And it's difficult to crochet with a cat hanging off of your hook.

Also? Apparently the people who make (and/or sell) baby yarn are against the color purple. Seriously, wtf?

Art Crawl!!!

I think I'd be in trouble if I had a kitten or young cat, but my cats are more mature (shall we say) and just not as crazy as the young ones.
