I bought a pair of straight needles and some yarn; starting with a scarf seemed to be a good idea.
Don't ask me how I'm going to knit around the kitten. I haven't figured that part out yet.
Crocheting around cats isn't as hard as I thought it would be, so long as the ball of yarn doesn't get out of control. Once it goes, the fur starts flying.
