You'd never make it. I'd rip your spine out before you got half a step. Those little legs wouldn't be much good without one of those.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I imagine you're not prepared today, Jesse, but the strikers are in the hood. I passed them on the way into work.

Dagnabbit! I was in midtown all day!

I have my fourth version of jury duty next month. Four different localities -- Massachusetts, DC, Manhattan, now Queens. I've served on one jury, been put on one jury where the defendent settled that night, and been empaneled for voir dire just before the defended pled out. This time it's "on call" jury duty, so I may not even have to go to the court house, but I'm not betting on it.

I also want to give Trudy due credit for the handwarmers-for-strikers idea, which is genius.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Thanks Jess. My Sister's genius actually -- she got a bunch for her husband last year.

If you want a hand with the assembling, etc. profile addy is good.

Thanks. Um, my favorite part is that I'm not planning on much assembly.

I still think there should be professional jurors.

So, donors choose update....

My friend V. submitted a proposal for lapsized whiteboards and markers. It should be approved within the next 10 days. I think, her proposal is probably for a grand total of $400. So, if you got a $100 gift certificate that you have not used (and I think if you donated as part of the blogger challenge you got one... even if you used an LJ gift certificate as the first donation) and you can wait for 10 days and you'd be interested in supporting a 2nd grade teacher who currently makes less than $26K a year, then I'll post a link for her proposal.

Swouncing

Sorry for jumping in the middle of the discussion without fully catching up, but from a quick skim, it seemed to me that this youtube of a World without Writers wasn't posted here yet.

Thrive to spite them

I'm not sure if this has been brought up before, but what are people planning to do about their tv habits when original programming dries up? Is anyone planning on cancelling or downgrading their cable package?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I think the WGA has asked people not to watch reruns and replacement programming like the rush-job reality shows we'll be seeing.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

This is my plan. I have a Netflix queue I need to catch up with anyway. But I won't cancel cable right away, because, well, the strike will end eventually. Also, it's bundled with my phone and Internet. I just don't intend to be a leming TV watcher.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I have no cable and have decided to not watch the replacement programming. However, should I cancel netflix to not support DVD buying?
