I think Fox is better shape than most because a) Idol and b) they have fewer hours to fill.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
And $2.7M for each 30 second ad during the Superbowl doesn't hurt either.
Man, professional football players are such scabs.

Don't forget the college football players since Fox has the Cotton, Sugar, Fiesta, and Orange Bowls as well as the Championship game.
What the hell? The Writer's strike wasn't bad enough, now they are trying to piss off SAG?
There is no way SAG can let this stand. If the producers can make the actors not work (due to exclusivity) and not be paid, SAG is broken.
Hopefully some accountant somewhere did this without consulting his contract lawyers, and Sony will fix this before the SAG lawyers paratroop in. Because if the SAG doesn't respond by dropping rabid wolverines onto the Sony lot, by this time tomorrow all of the production houses will be dumping their actors but still locking them down in exclusivity.

Idea for new stop-gap reality show?
I think WGA needs to insist that Fox's show "On the Lot" be shown heavily in rotation. If there is anything that makes clear how important good writing is, it is that show.
But the show is so bad, that I'm wondering if this point would get lost...
dropping rabid wolverines onto the Sony lot
I'd watch it. Who is with me?
Rabid Wolverines On The Lot
I'm in.

BWAH!
On the one hand, your reasoning here is flawless. On the other hand, I cannot support any motion that might cause more innocent viewers to accidentally start watching OTL. (Save yourselves, innocent viewers! Don't be like me and stick with a show that crappy just because you watched the premiere!)
