Allyson, insent for the WGA goodie bags. Use it as you see fit.
Also, thanks for the link to ActorsFund.org, Austin. I'm glad to have some way to help the non-writers who will be affected by this.
Greedy evil studios.
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Did anyone else get a $100 Gift certificate for donating?
I got one too, Kat, and haven't used it yet. Definitely let us know if your friend is going to set something up.
She is! Now it's a question of when. They take a while to approve the proposals.
It occurs to me that Allyson won't be bringing anything to strikers in New York... and maybe I want to volunteer to do that. Allyson, if you're buying in bulk, you could send me some of it and I could do a drop off here? I literally just thought of this, so I don't know.
Could we do a more New-Yorky gift bag maybe? (I'd be happy to help).
Unlike LA (I gather) all our guys are about two minutes from a Starbucks or half a billion delis (maybe five at Chelsea Piers)... but on the other hand, they're freezing their butts off. Can we maybe do a warmyer thing instead? Like gift-bags with these [link] [link] and Starbucks gift cards?
Polgara is donating gift bags, and I'm putting Buffistas.org Supports the WGA Strike stickers on them.
I can mail the bags to Jesse with a check for half the funds.
I'm trying to get the bags in at $6 each.
Can we maybe do a warmyer thing instead? Like gift-bags with these [link] [link]I think the idea of the hand warmers for New York is excellent.
I think half would be a lot. We only have (I think) Columbus Circle, Rockefeller Center, Chelsea Piers and maybe Silvercup Studios in Queens... and I don't think any of the pickets are huge.
NoiseDesign, will the funds that Austin linked to help your friends? I'll gladly donate in that direction, too. I was once one of those crew-type peeps and definitely want to help them as well.
Allyson, insent and supporting the NY writers as well, is great.

I don't know if it's been mentioned in another thread, but Local One in NY went on strike yesterday. So all the NY crew types who might've looked to theatre gigs to pick up some hours are out of luck because Broadway is mostly dark for the foreseeable future.
