'Sleeper'

The Minearverse 5: Closer to the Earth, Further from the Ax

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

A One that isn't cold, is scarcely A One at all.

You guys are all alot deeper than I am. My first thought was of Mr. Roarke standing next to Tattoo saying "Welcome to the Dollhouse!"

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I think Whedon's greatest strength is making me believe that I know what's going to happen and then completely blowing my mind.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I am reminded of the episode where it suddenly occurs to Buffy that the Watcher's Council needs her a lot more than she needs them, and can in fact call the shots and use them as advisors as needed. I loved that awakening. One of my favorite eps. If this is that, it's an interesting premise, and I'd like to see how he sustains it.

I loved that too. If I had to pick one single favorite scene from the whole series, that would be it.

Wait, wasn't Ibsen's A Doll's House featured in an episode of Angel, with Cordelia playing Nora=Echo? Hm.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm somewhere on the Plei-Allyson-Kristen scale in terms of my reaction to the premise. I like the people involved enough to want to see what they make of it.

My mind keeps going back to the dollhouse setting and wondering how they can pull it off, what tone they'll use for it, because I think that will be key to how much I enjoy the show.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Yep.

Our wings are not tired.

Without going full pollyanna, I'm excited about another show. The fact that it has caught our attention this much already should say something. The fact that there are some obvious stereotypes and mistreatments that could be written beyond or through should say something. The fact that I am more worried about what happens if concept control passes from Joss & Tim to, say, the studio, should say something.

I am Sox! I am also reminded that I didn't watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer for years because of the title and premise. Tricky ticksters hiding such a treasure under that cover. You know I'll watch, and post. May it be good enough to keep us interested, but not so good that FOX will cancel it after 3 episodes, shown out of order.
