So, in others "we don't really know what we're doing" issues, the Israeli channel who shows "The Inside", which went episodes 3-then-2-then-1, tried to switch back to some sort of order and after the 1st episode had the 2nd again (and in honor of their first re-run, they took off the "re run" little symbol that they had on the previous episodes), then the 3rd, and I assume that Friday night had the 4th, but it being shabbat, I didn't tape it.

Last night they had "Lonliest Number" (again, showing a new episode, they put back the "re run" little symbol on top, just so we'd know what's going on). I still never watched a single episode because the schedule makes it a bit difficult to wake up on time in the following morning. I keep checking the end titles to make sure what episode was shown. I had to rewind a bit in order to find out which episode last night's was, because the name in the subtitles could be translated back into English as "The Lonly Hearts Club".

Of course, one thing that I did manage to see in last night's episode was Allyson's logo. I rewinded a few times, watched it (couldn't turn the volume on, because my roommates were all still sleeping), and each time smiled to myself in such a pleased way that I am quite thankful right now that all my roommates were still sleeping and couldn't see me nearly-waving (but only nearly! I never did that!) to the screen, going "oh, my friend designed that!".

So, if they're keeping the USA order of schedule (um, after they got over their backwards-going tendencies), where is "Point of Origin" supposed to be?

Hey Nilly! I'm so pleased you're going to get to see these episodes.

PoO never aired here in the US. We skipped over it and saw Thief of Hearts and Declawed. (Aidan was going to air next but then the show went on "hiatus.")

Kristen! Thanks.

We skipped over it and saw Thief of Hearts and Declawed. (Aidan was going to air next but then the show went on "hiatus.")

Last night we had "Thief of Hearts" (and its name was even translated correctly! Which was a good thing, considering I hadn't read its script and therefore couldn't actually check which episode it was and get myself spoiled). So I'm assuming they're following the USA order, now that they've realized they should go forwards with the order of the episodes instead of backwards or randomly.

I still didn't get to watch a single episode. They're on after midnight, ending on around 1am, and even if I could stay awake, I can't turn the volume on, so that I wouldn't wake my roommates. And on most of the other hours of the day, the tv is on the news, so I can't stop people from watching that for a bit of escapism. But I'm taping very faithfully.

[Edit: oh, and on an Israeli tv site I just saw a little discussion about the references to past shows on "The Inside", like the Wolfram company, the "Once More With Feeling" sign, and they specifically mentioned that it's there because Tim worked not only on "Firefly" and "Angel", but, yes, on "Buffy", as well. That mistake is now officially international, crossing oceans and languages. They spelled his name in Hebrew, so I couldn't tell if they were misspelling it in spirit, to go along with it, as well.]

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

now that they've realized they should go forwards

What? They were reading right-to-left! It was an honest mistake!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Tim should just make up an episode he did for Buffy. Just retcon it into existence.

There was the spec script. I say gather nieces and nephews (are there any?) of gradeschool age and videotape a backyard theater performance.

Tim didn't have a Buffy spec. He had an X-Files one. IIRC, it's the only spec he wrote.

ETA: He did have a Buffy pitch, I think, involving Xander.

Ah, that's the thing I'm thinking of then. Was it just a brief outline?

I think he talked about it at the Expo thing. But it's entirely possible I'm confused. I can't remember all the details.

There's a bit about Tim's pitch here.
