I just picked up my copy of Will the Vampire People Please Leave the Lobby. I was reading "Random Acts of Paypal" to TCG on the way home, and I am already regretting not having bought a second copy to give to my mother and stepfather. I'll probably correct that sometime this week.

The Minearverse 5: Closer to the Earth, Further from the Ax
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
Fox managed to add insult to injury - they'd scheduled two episodes of Drive on the 4th (although I knew from reading here that they most likely wouldn't actually be shown), but I took a look to see if maybe, maybe, they showed them. Nope. Instead, they had an Adam Sandler movie on. bleah
Toddson, after taking it off the 4th they announced they would be shown on the 13th.
Then a couple days later they decided not to show them at all.
Yeah, I figured they wouldn't be showing it. It was just saying they were going to show Drive and then putting on an Adam Sandler movie - insult to injury.
Not only was it an Adam Sandler picture, it was called "Anger Management". It averaged 1.3/5, which share wise is the same Drive was getting back in April.
This Friday's slot has been cleared for the Standoff finale (well, 17th episode, which is also the final one). Standoff has been averaging around 1.1/4. The Standoff fans had an almighty emailing campaign when they realised their finale had been axed due to Drive.
I didn't realize that Drive axed Standoff. That's kind of funny. In a very not funny kind of way.
oops. typo.
the Standoff finale (well, 17th episode, which is also the final one).
Not really the place, but this makes me kinda sad. I had kinda hoped Standoff would make it.
(Of course, I'd shiv Standoff for more Drive, so...)
Yeah. I understand why Standoff didn't make it. Right before the cancellation, the eps got to be not great. But I've really enjoy the ones they burned off.
Every time I watch Standoff, I think, doesn't the FBI have a dress code?
Yes, but in J. Edgar Hoover's time, it was a DRESS.
(sorry ... couldn't resist)
