Waitress is surprising because it's actually a good film. With is good for Nathan as he kinda needs a hit right now, I'd suspect.

The Minearverse 5: Closer to the Earth, Further from the Ax
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
As good as Slither was, it should have been a hit. But apparently audiences were all "ACK! You got your sex comedy in my slimy alien massacre!"
tiggy, thanks for the link. It does look good. (I have now sent that link to friends all over the internets!)
It's so sad to see Minearverse so quiet. I miss my watch and post. Heroes is ok, but it just doesn't quite cut it. Sigh.
Ha. Well, apparently Standoff is coming back this summer.
That's just for episodes they've already filmed I believe, sumi. Although if they can burn Standoff off, they should at least burn Drive off too. (Yes, I never thought I'd be typing that so soon).
Standoff was cute, but it's no where near an acceptable substitute.
Supposedly, the final two episodes of Drive will air back-to-back on July 4. Wow, Fox. Way to not care if anyone sees them.
You couldn't pick a date which says burn off any more, really. Although the official cancelation notice is out already, so not a huge surprise. At least they are airing them, I suppose. The final eps of Studio 60 are being burnt off soon as well, so it's a bitter sweet end to the season this year -- stuff I like returning, to end.
They are really two pretty good eps, actually. But closure? Er. Um.
