You couldn't pick a date which says burn off any more, really. Although the official cancelation notice is out already, so not a huge surprise. At least they are airing them, I suppose. The final eps of Studio 60 are being burnt off soon as well, so it's a bitter sweet end to the season this year -- stuff I like returning, to end.
I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

Oh, just in case anybody is confused on that one -- I'm not saying FOX are burning them off 'cause they are crapola. Quite the opposite -- I may or may not have read 6, and it's shw-eet.
And, you know, Final Cut Pro and episode 6 + Ramones song. Although I'd never do that as FOX would eat my head.
