I liked Southland.
Richard Kelly's new movie (with SMG) is called
Southland Tales,
which would also be good.
Killer Instinct,
which basically looked just like
The Inside,
may have been better if it actually WERE
The Inside.
Of course, it just makes me think of the video game.
That's what I thought, sj. I'm in California sunshine right now. One might think that would make me very creative, and I'd come up with all sorts of wonderful titles for The Inside. However, I'm blissing out so much that it has turned my brain to mush. I think it was a fair trade, though, brain for sunshine.
I mean, Criminal Minds is a cheap ripoff of The Inside
Webster=Gideon -- older, mysterious past, quirky, can be kinda creepy.
Paul=Hotchner -- uptight, likes to follow rules, has wife and kid at home
Melody=Elle -- smart FBI chick, wisecracks, respected by the team
Rachel=Reed -- wierd quirk that makes them invaluable to team, problems forming social relationships. special relationship with head guy.
Danny=Derek -- smart, hot, asskicker.
it was the same damn show, but The Inside was better, more disturbing. Which may have been its downfall.
Yeah, as soon as Criminal Minds started, I said it was the "mainstream" The Inside. I mean, I really like Criminal Minds, but it's shocking to me how little difference there is between a huge hit and a... not so hit.

me too. I mean, I found The Inside disturbing, but I liked it. I enjoyed being creeped out. General public not so much. They want Serial Killer Lite.
Right there with you. I think it was Twin Peaks that first struck that divide between me and the mainstream audience.
CTV have dropped Drive. It's been replaced with "Closer To Home" (I don't even know what that is).
ETA: Close To Home, even.
